This plan provides guidelines to ensure that where the eyes or body of any employee may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body will be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. This plan also provides general emergency eyewash device information for using eyewash devices, including the reasons why companies with eye hazards (vapors, chemicals or particulates) require them.
