The implementation of IP telephony is becoming the mainstream enterprise network activity in the APAC region. Not only are larger enterprises and organizations migrating to IP, in more advanced markets such as Japan and Australia, SMBs are becoming the major customer group implementing IP PBX to gain business benefits and cost-savings from simplified communication networks. As a direct result, a total of 2.1091 million lines of IP PBX were shipped to the APAC market, generating a total of US$1,100.0 million in equipment revenue in 2005.
