Chinese Markets for Cardiovascular Drugs 2006

China's demand for cardiovascular drugs has grown at a fast pace in the past decade. In the next five years, both production and demand will continue to grow. This new study examines China's economic trends, investment environment, industry development, supply and demand, industry capacity, industry structure, marketing channels and major industry participants. Historical data (1995, 2000 and 2005) and long-term forecasts through to 2010 and 2015 are presented. Major producers in China are profiled.
Report Scope and Methodology This report examines China's macroeconomic trends, investment environment, cardiovascular drugs industry assessments, sales volumes and forecasts, output by different regions, distribution channels and principal industry participants. Long-term forecasts for major cardiovascular drugs production and demand are included. The report contains more than 50 tables and charts. Key producers are profiled and top cardiovascular disease treatment providers are listed in the producer directory section.
Most primary and secondary research was done in China in order to access up-to-date government regulations, market information and industry data. Data were collected from the Chinese government publications (including from National Bureau of Statistics of China, China Population Information and Research Center), Chinese language newspapers and magazines, health care industry publications, cardiovascular diseases or cardiovascular diseases treatment publications and our in-house databases. Interviews were conducted with Chinese cardiovascular diseases treatment experts, medical university professors, cardiovascular drugs producers and cardiovascular diseases treatment providers in China.
Historical data include 1995,2000 and 2005. Longterm development trends are projected to the years 2010 and 2015. Economic models and quantitative methods are applied in this report to project market demand and industry trends. Metric system is used and values are presented in both yuan (or RMB, current price) and US dollar. Exchange rate for 2005 is based on the annual average rate (8.1 yuan per US dollar). The word 'demand' is used interchangeably with 'consumption'.
