Chinese Welding Equipment and Consumables Markets 2007
Frost & Sullivan, Dec 2006, Pages: 74
This Frost & Sullivan research service entitled Chinese Welding Equipment and Consumables Markets provides total market size, market definitions, market segment revenue breakdown, and end-user analysis. In this research service, expert analysts thoroughly examine the following end-user markets: automotive, oil and gas, industrial manufacturing, construction, and others.
Market Sectors Expert Frost & Sullivan analysts thoroughly examine the following market sectors in this research:
-Arc welding equipment -Resistance welding equipment
Technologies The following technologies are covered in this research:
-Electric Arc Welding: Electric arc welding is the process of joining metals where an arc is heated to separate the conductors connected to the positive and negative poles of an electric current, thereby producing an arc. This includes manual metal arc (MMA) welding, metal inert gas and metal active gas (MIG and MAG) welding, submerged arc welding (SAW), tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding, and plasma arc welding (PAW). Resistance Welding: Resistance welding is a technique used for joining metals and it finds widespread application in diverse production processes from dishwashers to bicycle parts. In resistance welding, the heat generated by resistance of the work piece to the electric current is used to join the metals together with pressure applied in the process.
-Gas Welding: Gas welding encompasses a group of welding processes, which produce coalescence by heating materials with a gas flame produced as a result of exothermic chemical reaction between oxygen and an another combustible gas. Pressure need not be applied and filler materials are not necessarily used. Commonly used gases include natural gas, propane, butane, and other hydrocarbon gases. Oxyacetylene welding, a process that uses acetylene gas, is the most widely used process in the group.
