Market Size and Trends “The UK Food and Drinks market was valued at GBP117.3 billion in 2006, an increase of 1.8% on 2005 and an average annual increase of 4.3% since 2002. Alcoholic beverages is the largest single sector by value, with sales of GBP46.8bn, whilst other important sectors include soft drinks at GBP11.3bn, meat and poultry at GBP7.8bn and fresh produce with sales of GBP7.2bn in 2006.”
