Whos Buying at Restaurants and Carry-outs
New Strategist Publications, Inc., Dec 2003, Pages: 80
This report presents the demographics of who buys meals at restaurants and carry-outs. Based on unpublished data collected by the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Consumer Expenditure Survey, the report examines how much Americans spend on breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks by the demographics that count—age, income, household type, region of residence, race and Hispanic origin, education, occupation, and homeownership status. To round out the spending picture, it also presents “who-are-the-best-customers” analyses of the data, showing the demographics of household spending on meals at full-service and fast-food restaurants, school cafeterias, vending machines, and mobile vendors, plus meals on trips, at a glance.
