Whos Buying Household Furnishings, Services, and Supplies
New Strategist Publications, Inc., Dec 2003, Pages: 243
This report presents the demographics of who buys for the home. Based on unpublished data collected by the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Consumer Expenditure Survey, the report examines how much Americans spend on household furnishings, services, and supplies by the demographics that count—age, income, household type, region of residence, race and Hispanic origin, education, occupation, and homeownership status. To round out the spending picture, it also presents “who-are-the-best-customers” analyses of the data, showing at a glance the demographics of household spending on over 50 items ranging from air conditioners to stoves, computer information services to giftwrap.
