An Overview of the Global Market for Polyester Polyols

We are pleased to announce the publication of the latest report for the polyurethane industry, a two-volume report analysing the consumption of polyester polyols, both aliphatic and aromatic, within the major end-use markets across the world. Figures are based upon 2006 production of polyurethane products and associated polyester polyol consumption.
Total global production capacity of polyester polyols is estimated to be in the region of 1.5 million tonnes, accounting for some 25% of world’s total polyurethane polyol capacity, which is estimated to be around 6 million tonnes.
