Analysis of the Domestic Bearing Market

Description: Recently since 2002 under a sound macro-economy background, the domestic bearing market has made considerable progress with improvement of general economic profits and function, despite the low development of the bearing industry with a high deficit. But enterprises of different ownerships develop imbalancedly, with three features: industrial economic indexes uprising; exports increasing after having decreased with an obvious rise of imports; nation-owned enterprises with losses while private-owned with large profits.

Import and export trade of domestic bearings in 2002 presented following features: rapid growth of export with a declining trade surplus; effect from American anti-dumpling lawsuit; annual decline of export price; annual decline of export trade surplus; unitary export regions as well as export product varieties.

Conclusions are drawn from statistics of bearing production enterprises as follows: for enterprises with high economic profits, “small enterprises with specific products, medium with sophisticated, large with complete varieties” has become principle for enterprise and product orientation; implementing mass production is basis for profiting; enterprises with large output of sophisticated bearings possess low gross capital profit rate; enterprises possess strong profiting capacity with large ratio of new products, vice versa.

A forecast of domestic bearing market status quo in 2003 is inclusive. Due to good macro-economic environment, the bearing industry will have a further development. But the market competition will be fiercer with entry of famous foreign manufacturers, anti-dumpling policy towards China by some countries.
