The Shkira refinery project has been delayed until the next Tunisian election. Two wind farms of a total installed capacity of 120 MW (cost of €200 million) will be completed in 2011.
Among other developing countries the Middle East experienced a substantial cut in its primary production. However, despite its surplus reduced by 10% the Middle East remained the world’s largest net exporter of energy.
