Tight squeeze: Hampered demand for healthcare staff is constraining revenue growth in 2023-24
Over the five years through 2023-24, industry revenue is anticipated to increase at a compound annual rate of 4.1% to reach £1.2 billion. Revenue has benefited from an increase in demand for healthcare services, driven by an ageing population, which has necessitated an expanding pool of healthcare workers. Staff shortages across the NHS have also left many healthcare providers with little choice but to rely on agencies to fill empty positions on staff rotas.
Healthcare staff recruitment agencies list employment vacancies for individuals that work to improve others’ physical well-being and social functioning capacity. Individuals that are referred or placed for employment by industry operators are not employees of the agencies. While temporary workers remain employees of the recruitment agency, these agencies do not directly supervise their employees at the clients’ work sites.
This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
