Swee Leong Sing Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Singapore Centre for 3D Printing, Nanyang Technological University, Jurong West, Singapore. Dr Swee Leong Sing is a postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research interest is in additive manufacturing for biomedical applications, focusing on materials creation and development, qualification and certification of additive manufactured medical devices. His doctoral thesis focuses on laser-based powder bed fusion processing of a novel titanium alloy for medical applications. The doctoral thesis and related research is awarded the Best PhD Thesis Award in 2017 by the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. In 2017, the same thesis is also awarded the Springer Theses Award. He has co-authored 39 peer reviewed articles in the field of additive manufacturing or 3D printing. As of Jan/Feb 2020, six of these articles are highly cited papers that received enough citations to place them in the top 1% of their academic field, based on a highly cited threshold for the field and publication year. He is also the co-inventor for two patents on the powder bed fusion process. Wai Yee Yeong Associate Professor and Associate Chair (Students), School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Jurong West, Singapore. Associate Professor Wai Yee Yeong is currently serving as the Associate Chair (Students) at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. Con-currently, she is also the Program Director for Aerospace & Defence at the Singapore Centre in 3D Printing (SC3DP), Deputy Director (Technical) at HP-NTU Digital Manufacturing Corporate Laboratory and Co-Director of the NTU Institute for Health Technologies. Her research interests are on 3D printing and bioprinting. She has authored 2 textbooks, 7 book chapters, with more than 3100 citations. She has filed multiple patents and know-hows. Her work has been featured on media such as CNA, the Straits Times and other media channels. On the scholarly front, she is the associate editor for the journals Virtual and Physical Prototyping, and the International Journal of Bioprinting.
