About the Author:

Lauren B. Edelman is Agnes Roddy Robb Professor of Law and Professor of Sociology, and also Director of the Center for the Study of Law and Society at the School of Law, University of California, Berkeley, USA. Mark C. Suchman is Professor of Sociology and Law at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, USA.
