In 2006, the installed capacity of Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd (Datang Power) amounted to 19,430 MW, up 40.69% from a year earlier.
The onto-grid electric power in 2006 increased by 21.2 billion kWh compared to the same period of last year. Due to the enforcement of coal and electricity price linkage mechanism, net profit of the Company reached RMB 2.707 billion, up about 14.68% year-on-year.
5,400-MW fire power units of Datang Power and its affiliated companies were successively put into operation in 2006. Electric power generation increased by 30% in 2007. About 3,500MW units will be put into operation in 2007, and the power generation will continue to grow in 2008.
Datang Power owns 28% stock rights of Tashan Coal Mine, and the output of the Companys investment into Tashan Coal Mine is above 10%. Datang Power targets at over 10 billion tons of coal reserves and the proportion of coal supply will be up to 60% or so in the future.
