Convergence Defines the Emergence of IT Service and Control Management - An Advisory Note
Enterprise Management Associates, Feb 2007, Pages: 2
IT organizations today are faced with multiple mandates for optimizing their response to four key demands: security in response to heightened threat risks, multiple regulatory compliance mandates, the implementation of IT governance that regulatory measures may require, and service management priorities critical to the business itself. The embrace of specific best practices in each domain is seen by many as required—but when they can be combined to assure the positive IT values of service availability, performance and integrity with the management of negative risks and threats, EMA sees the adoption of best practices across all these areas converging in a single initiative that may justifiably bear a new taxonomy all its own: IT Service and Control Management.
