The OOBI market is key to future IT management. Convergence of In-band and OOBI technologies is unavoidable.
For almost two decades the Out-of-Band (OOB) Information Technology (IT) Management market existed as an isolated niche alongside the more pervasive In-band IT Management market. Each market provides critical tools for advantageous managing of information technology inundating our environments at work and home. As the evolution toward utility computing is gaining momentum, the OOB and the In-band IT management markets are destined to converge. It is only through the convergence of these two management technologies and markets that efficient and forward-looking tools for managing the evolution toward utility computing can be carried out and sustained.
