Sonus Pharmaceuticals is focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products for oncology indications. The company has only one program in its pipeline, namely, TOCOSOL Camptothecin, for the treatment of solid tumors.

Sonus derives its revenues from collaboration and licensing agreements. These revenues are related to the collaboration agreement with Bayer Schering, under which Bayer Schering was granted worldwide exclusive license to market and promote TOCOSOL Paclitaxel and was responsible for clinical development and regulatory activities outside of the US.

Sonus aims to apply its focus on advancing its second oncology product candidate, TOCOSOL Camptothecin, which was moved into a Phase I clinical trial in September 2006. In addition, it intends to identify and acquire products/technologies that are complementary to its focus in oncology in order to broaden the business and market opportunities.
