The key trends observed for the month of January 2008 include: IT services contract activity increased in January after the year-end slump; in January 2008, infrastructure management and maintenance/support remained IT services cornerstones; government IT spending remained constant across geographies.

Other trends include enterprises preferred short duration deals signed for an average period of up to three to five years; IT service contracts signed in the Asia-Pacific region showed significant volume growth; and a few application development and management contracts are expected to expire by August 2008.
