Prices for most of the frozen food in Slovakia registered a decline over the review period. This was caused by a variety of factors. One of them was the strengthening position of domestic players as well as manufacturers from other Central European countries, such as neighbouring Czech Republic or Poland. Quality of products offered by these manufacturers increased substantially during the last decade enough to challenge Western goods, while prices remained affordable. At the same time competition among the existing players was forcing prices down.
With in-depth analysis of the latest trends in the dried food market, this report is part of a series of 52 individual country reports providing essential strategic data. Use these studies to assess the impact of new products; anticipate new retailing trends and measure brand and market shares.
