Summary 10 Research Sources
The soft drinks industry is one of the most dynamic in Czech beverages. Off-trade sales of soft drinks in the Czech Republic are approaching Western European levels. While consumption of carbonates and juice drinks exceeds the average per capita consumption of soft drinks, bottled water, 100% juice and nectars developed to equal this level of consumption. Sales of soft drinks were boosted by further innovations in convenience packaging. Sales were also supported by the introduction of new flavours, new product types and a wider appearance of functional drinks. The growth in household incomes and active marketing and promotional strategies also helped consumer expenditure on soft drinks to continue to increase.
