The annual Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) Conference is 'the' annual event for the MMIS community. The conference engaged Federal and State professionals along with government contractors to talk Medicaid amidst this year’s theme of finding ‘harmony’ in the challenges of MMIS.
Description
From September 14-18, 2008, over 800 participants convened in Nashville, TN for the annual MMIS Conference. There were 60-plus sessions on subjects such as ehealth, Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA), procurement, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), State Self -Assessments (SS-A), predictive modeling, and system replacement lifecycles to name a few. As a result, the following notes have been provided on a number of conference sessions as a summary of our participation at the event.
This Analyst Recap provides an overview on how states are scaling the Medicaid architecture concept for health and human service enterprises to transform towards an integrated approach to serving communities.
