Size of the Russian market includes consumed amount of rolled metal (galvanized and polymer-coated) used in production of corrugated boarding, three-layer panels and roll-formed sections.

The derived size of the market is not just production volume of manufacturers of metal strictures but also production volume of metal strictures on a worksite by installation companies. According to the experts the “worksite” production volume may reach 40% of the total market size.

Dynamics of the market was positive; annual growth rate was 10-12% in 2005-2007. According to the experts the positive dynamics of the market will continue with the same growth rate in the mid-term.

Domestic production greatly prevails over imports. According to the Federal State Statistics Service there are about 1000 companies in Russia that produce building metal structures. There are about 10 biggest producers occupying most of the market geographically. The experts characterize the market as competitive.
