In the first quarter of 2004, PAS mobile phone shipment broke a record high and Motorola's shipment also grew substantially.
Therefore, the Chinese mobile phone industry's shipment volume rose 64.2% year on year to reach approximately 65.2 million units.
Share of PAS phone shipment pushed toward 15%. Southern China, where lPAS handset production was concentrated, and Tianjin, Motorola's production base, both saw share increase.
