The transportation services industry group is defined as consisting of revenues generated from freight transportation by road, rail, air and marine. Volume is only included for road freight, rail freight and air freight. Units of volumes are measured in freight tonne kilometres (FTK). Freight volumes where applicable, include both domestic and international freight, which for the purposes of this report are counted in the country of origin.. Any currency conversions used in the creation of this report have been calculated using constant annual average exchange rates. Europe comprises Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, Romania and the UK.
