4Q 2004 Packet Telephony Gateway Market Analysis

The worldwide packet telephony gateway market experienced a 34.3% increase in port shipments during the fourth quarter of 2004, compared to the third quarter, and shipments on a year over year basis grew by 44.7%. Total revenues grew by 27.6% compared to the immediately preceding quarter, and by 31.6% compared to the year-ago quarter. All density segments showed an increase during the fourth quarter; however, high density gateways experienced the highest growth during the quarter. This report includes vendor market shares for various segments of the packet voice gateway market and a rolling three-quarter forecast of the packet voice equipment market.
