The cell phone industry continued to soar in Q4 04, as manufacturers churned out a record 194.5 million units, according to this new In-Stat report.
Total shipments grew 17.8% sequentially in the quarter, according to 'Handset Market Thunders, But Leaner Growth Ahead: Q4 2004.' Full-year volume reached 679 million phones, the third straight record year.
