Introduction
The cost of innovative cancer drugs is an increasingly controversial issue. Strict price controls in many countries limit the prices that manufacturers can charge for medicines, whereas the United States’ lenient drug pricing system allows manufacturers much greater latitude to determine launch prices. However, pharmaceutical companies in all countries will need to adapt to a changing pricing environment for oncology drugs.

Get the Answers You Need to Shape Your Strategy
Concern is growing over the rising costs of cancer therapies, particularly in the United States, which has the highest drug prices overall. Have drug manufactures responded to this growing concern? Is government intervention necessary to regulate prices?

Historically, the European hospital sector allowed free pricing of drugs, even in the most heavily regulated markets. But there is a growing trend to control hospital spending on medicines. What pricing controls are being proposed and how will they affect drug pricing in European markets?
