China has emerged as one of the world's largest suppliers of golf cars and trolleys, despite having a history of less than a decade. Exports have grown at double-digit levels annually, increasing by more than 20 percent in 2007.

Large makers are the primary drivers of the rise in shipments since the industry is highly concentrated. These companies are expected to account for an even greater share of output and exports in coming months.

Rising raw material costs, higher operational expenses and lowered export tax rebates took its toll on product prices, resulting in a 5 to 20 percent increase in 2007. China suppliers have adopted various cost-saving measures to prevent further surges, foremost of which are reducing wastage and defects, increasing efficiency and expanding capacity.

Many suppliers are also shifting toward high-end production to avoid fierce competition in the low-end segment. These companies will upgrade existing facilities by replacing old equipment or purchasing sophisticated machinery.

With the help of this report, you too can profit from this dynamic industry.

This report will answer questions such as:

- How will rising production costs affect pricing in the next 12 months?
- Which suppliers are moving upmarket?

- And much more...
