Rayon Fibers Market is forecast to reach $28 billion by 2025, after growing at a CAGR of 6% during 2020-2025. Rayon is a regenerated fiber made Rayon Fibers is analyzed to be USD$13.91Billion in 2021 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 5.58% during the forecast period 2022-2027.

Rayon is made from purified cellulose, primarily from wood pulp which is converted into cellulose acetate to make fiber soluble in solvents. Rayon fiber has outstanding strength, low elongation and good weather absorbance properties. It can absorb 13% of moisture content at 70°F, with a tensile strength of 2.0-2.6 g/denier in a dry state and 1.0-1.5 in a wet state. The elasticity of Rayon fiber is less than 2-3% with an elongation of 15-13% in a dry state and 20-40% in a wet state.

The growing production of rayon fibers in the U.S. along with the wide usage of it in yarns, fabrics, apparel and domestic textiles such as bedspreads, blankets, curtains, draperies, sheets, slipcovers, tablets cloths and upholstery coupled with the increasing investment by various textile industry to expand the production facilities is set to boost its market growth. As a part of this, the U.S. textile industry has invested $18.7 billion in new plants and equipment from 2009 to 2018, according to the National Council of Textile Organizations. Recently, U.S. manufacturers have opened new facilities throughout the textile production chain, including recycling facilities for converting textiles and other waste to new textile uses and resins.

The U.S. industry is the second largest exporter of textile products in the world. Combined exports of fiber, textiles and apparel amounted to $29.1 billion in 2019.from purified cellulose. Because of its strength, rayon has also been used as a primary component in vehicle tires, which results in a product which is less expensive than nylon tires and boost the growth of Rayon Fibers Market. Surging demand for rayon fibers in medical applications drives the growth of the market. In addition, rayon fibers are moisture absorbent, breathable and comfortable to wear which escalates its use in textile industry.
