Russia had entirely remained an isolated province within European and world life, its life aloof and closed. But the present scenario is changing. Russia is fast becoming a leader in Eastern Europe with almost all industries (automotive, energy, food & beverages, retail, ITC etc.) facing high increase. The recent rapid economic expansion of the Russian economy has contributed considerably to raising living standards in Russia and narrowing the income gap with other emerging markets and the euro area.
