Study Description and Objectives:
Panel Intelligence engaged a set of 14 durable medical equipment (DME) suppliers on the topic of pricing and reimbursement in an online panel discussion. Secondary objectives of this study were to:
- Assess the current state of business in the DME industry
- Examine current purchasing patterns for wheelchairs, CPAP devices, and oxygen supplies and forecast future purchasing trends
- Evaluate manufacturers’ pricing of wheelchairs, CPAP devices, and oxygen and forecast future pricing trends
- Understand the current reimbursement environment and how it might change in the next 1 and 2 years
- Discuss competitive bidding and its potential impact on the DME industry
Inclusion Criteria and Panelist Demographics:
- Number of Panelists: 10-15 DME suppliers
- Screening Criteria:
- - US-based, with a regional mix
- - Sells a high volume of CPAP devices, wheelchairs, and/or oxygen supplies
- - Mix of large and small DME suppliers
