Iberdrola is engaged in hydroelectric and non-renewable energy generation in Spain, with a total generation capacity of 30,384 megawatts (MW) from natural gas, nuclear, coal, fuel-oil, and cogeneration facilities. With the acquisition of ScottishPower, the capacity has increased to 40,000 MW. The company produces electricity from renewable sources.
