These tests are the basis of most of the medical decisions. The laboratory tests are mainly of three types, clinical or routine tests, anatomic pathology tests and esoteric tests. Diagnostics tests have a little wider coverage than the clinical laboratory tests. Payors play an important role in this industry as they are the ones who reimburse the cost of the tests to the laboratories.
