Bue Emerging Market Abstract Regional Bundle: Middle East
Whythawk, Sep 2009, Pages: 135
Whythawk Bue Emerging Market Abstracts offer rapid, high-level comparative emerging market overviews. Each is designed to be read in no more than 20 minutes and in combination with our other abstracts. To assist comparisons, data covers a constant period, with the content bringing events up to date.
Our regional bundles include six countries that offer the most interest and insight into the region for investors. The bundle is complemented by a guide to Evaluating Emerging Market Risk which describes the process used by Whythawk analysts in guiding clients in assessing their investment approach.
The Middle East bundle includes abstracts on: Iran, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
The Bue data analysis system - used in the abstracts - allows rapid, consistent and objective comparison of specific countries or regions against a chosen benchmark, using an expansive set of data from trusted sources. Country criteria selected from the UN, IMF, World Bank and WHO (amongst others) are benchmarked against those of a basket of competitive emerging nations.
The Bue scores are based on a rate of change in the criteria considered in each segment; it is not a measure of the absolute number of that particular factor. In this way, the Bue scores are able to allow comparison between highly diverse and very different countries.
BENCHMARK: Brazil, Chile, China, India, Indonesia, Poland, Russian Federation, Turkey and Vietnam
Data used for the Bue Curve is arranged into six segments:
1. Demography: Population, Health and Education 2. Economy: Market Opportunity and Investment Environment 3. Infrastructure: Telecommunications, Energy, Access and Rights 4. State: Governance, Law and Stability 5. Structure: Aid, Enterprise and State Expenditure 6. Healthcare: Morbidity, Mortality & Treatment
