The Marine-bred Aquatics Industry in China includes establishments primarily engaged in breeding and raising marine creatures (both plants and animals) economically suitable for artificial farming. These establishments use some form of intervention methods in the rearing process to enhance production, such as holding in captivity, regular stocking, feeding, and protection from predators. Marine fishing and fresh water fish farming are not included in the industry.
