Electro surgery deals with the interaction of electrons with tissue to achieve a desired clinical effect. Electro surgical units (ESU’s) are used for surgical cutting or to manage blood loss by causing coagulation (hemostasis) during surgery.

Enhanced technologies have been developed, that can incise and coagulate more rapidly and effectively with negligible thermal and electrical spread, condensed the intervention with intra operative equipment. For wellbeing medical device manufacturers have developed sophisticated methods that consist of argon beam coagulation to prevent bleeding, lasers for specific haemostatic partition, ultrasound for selective target tissue, saline enriched coagulation, ferromagnetic technology for distinct haemostatic splitting with a slight collateral damage and passing current through the tissue. In addition to these applications there is an increase in commercialization of purpose specific electrosurgery units designed with particular accessories for specific treatment model.

Global electrosurgical market is segmented by the type of product and the type of surgery. Electrosurgical products comprise of electrosurgical generators, electrosurgical READ MORE >
