Commenting on the report, an analyst from the team said: “Rapid technological developments and increasing implementation of the new designs into operations is leading to better performance and increased space utilization in the data centers. The data centers are being designed to provide efficient air circulation and better cooling to all the equipment, which forms a part of the data center facility. Many other specifications such as raised floor, roof-based cooling, and other technologies, for example economizer technology which makes use of external cooler air to cool the data center facility, are being incorporated while designing and building a data center facility. This method can be adopted only in regions where the temperatures outside the data centers are lower than the internal temperature. There are a number of data center service providers which are also providing design solutions to optimize or increase the productivity of the data center facility. Some of the solutions such as elongated racks and liquid-based cooling solutions are being incorporated as a part of the data center infrastructure.”
According to the report, one of the major drivers is the growing demand for colocation services in Latin America. With the increasing complexity of network infrastructure, enterprises are opting for outsourcing the management of the data centers to third-party vendors that are experts in data center management and maintenance.
Further, the report states that one of the major challenges is the introduction of containerized data center facilities which is reducing the demand for traditional data center facilities. The containerized data centers can be easily facilitated; moreover, they are equipped with the required powering and cooling solutions which reduces the need for maintenance from the enterprises.
The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key vendors.
