Payroll Theory Course (London, UK - May 24, 2017)


Q. What is the focus of ‘Payroll Theory Course?’

Our payroll course enables delegates to understand Legislation, dealing with HMRC, Voluntary and Statutory Requirements of Employment, Understanding the Background i.e.: PAYE, Income Tax. The course is unique in the sense that it provides interactive learning and problem solving with real time calculations passed onto delegates. It’s also run by an experienced trainer that is active in the finance industry and up to date with current affairs.


Q. Who should attend this course and what can they expect from it? What are the benefits of attending? How is the day scheduled?

People from a variety of backgrounds can attend the course, including those from human resources, admin personnel, finance, management, those who are looking to develop their careers, and those who are aiming to become more involved in payroll. The benefits for attendees are to understand what makes payroll from a theoretical standpoint and how this is processed on a monthly and yearly basis.

The day is scheduled around understanding the core aspects like income tax and national insurance contribution, however the course includes irregular aspects like SMP, SSP.  There is a clear emphasis on learning and attendees will complete a short exam at the end of the day.        


Q. Who is delivering the course and what is their background in the topic? What kind of insights will they provide for attendees?

The course is delivered by a well established expert in payroll and accounting who is CIMA certified and has been training for over 10 years.  The trainer has trained payroll departments from a mixture of industries including retail, healthcare, education and financial services.  He has also delivered sessions across the UK and these insights and experiences are used within the course.     


Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (London, UK - April 24-28, 2017)


Q. What is the focus of the ‘Lean Six Sigma Green Belt’ course? What does the Six Sigma process encompass?

Lean 6 Sigma is a set of problem solving tools that are structured through the DMAIC methodological framework.  The LSS GB course is a focus on each of the phases of DMAIC – Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control – with a view to practical application during the week long duration of the course.


Q. Who should attend this course and what can they expect from it? What are the benefits of attending? How is the day scheduled?

People from a variety of backgrounds can attend the course, including those from project management, functional managers, those who are looking to develop their careers, and more senior managers who are aiming to become more involved in change and transformation programmes.  The benefits are the introduction to a proven methodology and set of tools used by companies such as General Electric, Boeing, Airbus, Toyota and many others with a history of sustained benefits.  The day is scheduled around practical application and a clear emphasis on learning by asking attendees to complete an exam and case study at the end of the week.    


Q. Who is delivering the course and what is their background in the topic? What kind of insights will they provide for attendees?

The course is delivered by a well established expert in Lean 6 Sigma who has a Black Belt background from GE and is an approved trainer from the IASSC.  The trainer is a published author in the subject and has trained and run projects across a number of industries including telecommunications, aerospace, oil & gas, healthcare and financial services.  He has also delivered sessions from Canada to Japan and Norway to South Africa and these insights and experiences are used to illuminate the course for delegates during its duration.
