Research and Markets' Guide to the Dublin Tech Summit

Ireland’s newest technology conference kicks off today at the Convention Centre in Dublin. Over 10,000 people are expected to attend the Dublin Tech Summit (DTS), a two-day conference featuring global leaders in innovation, technology and business.

Speaking ahead of the conference, Dublin Tech Summit’s CEO Noelle O'Reilly said,

“Dublin is such a fantastic city to do business in. We wanted to provide a unique event that showcases that, as well as give the tech community in Dublin a chance to meet and learn from each other.”

Organizers will be hoping to fill the void left behind following the Web Summit’s departure to Lisbon. In September 2016, Web Summit CEO Paddy Cosgrave Paddy Cosgrave announced they would be moving the event from Dublin and cited hotel costs, traffic and other issues around infrastructure as the reasons behind the decision.

The Dublin Tech Summit seems an able replacement, with some of the world’s largest tech companies scheduled to be in attendance, including Microsoft, Intel, Google, Facebook and others. More than two hundred speakers will take to the eight stages across the two days. Some of the speakers include Gary Vaynerchuk, Bruce Daisley, Ali Rayl, Louise Phelan, David Moloney and Chris Jones.

Themes have been chosen  for each stage, which the organizers say reflect the biggest influences on us as a society. They are:

  • Prism
  • Business & Marketing
  • Internet of Things
  • FinTech
  • MedTech
  • Fashion
