In The Economist Intelligence Unit's latest assessment, the score for sovereign risk has improved from 56 to 54, with the rating remaining at B. The change was prompted by improvement in financial and liquidity risk indicators resulting from a rise in foreign-exchange reserves and a sharp fall in imports of goods and services.

The score for currency risk improves from 50 to 48, but the rating remains at BB. An increase in the sovereign's level of import cover and a decline in short-term debt have improved the score in this category.

The score for banking sector risk improves by two points to 48, with the rating remaining at BB. Moderation in credit growth relative to GDP growth has supported the banking sector risk score.
