Here is the Editor's Note for you to know about the Feb. issue specifically:

In Feb., the harvest work of newly-harvested corn in Jilin, Liaoning and Heilongjiang had been finished. Coupled with the coming of
Spring Festival in the middle of the month, corn transactions cooled down. The corn markets in Northeast and North China have
kept prosperous since the launch of new corn in Dec. 2017, with corn prices have maintained uptrend. In the meanwhile, the State
Administration of Grain issued the quality report of corn that was newly harvested from 9 provinces in 2017, which showed that the
average quality is poorer than 2016, with lower first-grade corn proportion, and higher content of unsound kernel and mouldy kernel.
And the China National Grain and Oils Information Centre issued the latest annual report for corn supply and demand, which
showed that the corn supply gap reached 25.61 million tonnes in 2017/18.

As the Spring Festival was ended, most corn product producers resumed production. From 15 to 20 Feb. during the festival, the
domestic operating rate of corn starch reached 53.93%, and the figure rebounded to more than 70% from 21 to 28 Feb. the report producer
predicted that the corn starch prices will drop in the short term.

According to China Customs, China imported about 18.63 million tonnes of corn substitutes (including sorghum, barley, wheat, and
DDGS) in 2017, up 4% YoY. Of these, barley import volumes reached the most, up 77.09% YoY. On the contrary, DDGS import
volumes hit the least, down by 87.26% YoY. In Dec. along, there were no DDGS imports.

Recently many enterprises planned to construct live pig projects. Sichuan Giantstar signed with Luzhou's government on a 2 million
head/a live pig poverty alleviation and complete industrial chain project. New Hope Liuhe decided to construct a 2 million head/a
live pig project in Inner Mongolia's Tongliao, and said this project will boost feed demand by 600,000 tonnes.
