Kurnool is slowly developing as a potential for online shopping consumers, with around 55% of sample population having bought something or the other online, including bus/train/movie tickets and books.

Price discounts and saving time are the key factors driving online purchases in Kurnool. The deterring factors include lower awareness levels, quality concerns, need for physical inspection and security of online transactions.
Statistically there is a significant relationship between the monthly income levels and online purchase behaviour, i.e. Higher the income levels, higher the tendency to buy online. There is no statistically significant association between Age and buying online indicating that both younger as well as older respondents are equally likely to have purchased some thing or the online.

Endowed with good mineral resources, the town has industries producing non-metallic mineral products followed by Food products and beverages and other industries.

Electronic goods, Clothing, and Shoes& fashion accessories are the most likely goods to be purchased online in Kurnool. Respondents are also likely to purchase groceries &food and Medicines &cosmetic products through online medium. Domestic services, Classifieds and Property are the least likely services to be bought online. Services including matrimony and training are also less likely to be bought online.

Respondents in Kurnool are inclined to shift to online shopping for price discounts and free home delivery. We believe that this market will have potential for online shopping in the future.
