Dr Patrick McConnell has been a senior manager in, and a consultant to, large international corporations, financial institutions and governments on multiple continents for over 35 years. His expertise is in operational risk management and information technology. In his academic career, Dr McConnell has taught in Australia, China, Japan and Ireland to advanced students and in-house executives, has published widely in The Journal of Operational Risk and other risk management journals, and co-authored a book on people risk management. He holds a doctorate in business administration and degrees in pure and applied mathematics, and is a fellow of BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT.
