VSF consumption in the Asia-Pacific dominated the market in 2014, accounting for roughly one third of the global demand in the year. The Asia-Pacific is projected to remain the major market size in terms of volume and value by 2022 and is expected to grow at a respective CAGR of 8.0% and 9.5% during the period of study.

The standard viscose fibres held the major share amongst all the three types, this segment accounted for roughly 88.0% of the market size in 2014 and would remain the largest segment till 2022. Lyocell fibres held the second largest share, and is projected to grow the fastest with a healthy CAGR of 14.5%, from 2015-2022.

Textiles & clothing is the end-use application of VSF, accounting for around 70% of the market in 2014, followed by non-woven & industrial applications.
