New Report Released: – Fire Sprinkler Systems Market in APAC 2016-2020

The author of the report recognizes the following companies as the key players in the fire sprinkler systems market in APAC: APi group, Siemens, Tyco, and UTC.

Other Prominent Vendors in the market are: Hirotec Maintenance, Honeywell, Indigo Piping Systems, Innovative Fire Service, Newsound Fire Services, O’Brien Fire Protection, P&R Fire Services, Precision Fire Protection Services, Red Men Fire Protection, Superior Fire Solutions, and United Fire Protection.

Commenting on the report, an analyst from the research team said: “Emergence of smart fire sprinkler systems will be a key trend for market growth. Smart fire suppression systems that identify the location of a fire in a building and extinguishes flames with flame suppressants are emerging in the market. This will reduce the wastage of water, one of the non-renewable resources. An example is the Automist Smartscan marketed by the UK-based manufacturer Plumis. Smart fire sprinkler systems use a mobile infrared sensor that is usually located in a wall-box. The sensor scans the room to locate the hottest point, if it detects temperature above 135°F. On successfully identifying the location, it sprays high-pressure mist onto flames. The Automist Smartscan fire sprinkler system uses only 10% of water in comparison to traditional fire sprinkler systems.”

According to the report, increasing environmental concerns about fire emissions will be a key driver for market growth. The increasing global average temperature due to carbon emissions, a by-product of fires, has raised a serious concern for governments across the world. In addition to carbon emissions, fires can also cause non-carbon contamination such as contamination of water and soil from the deposition of fire wastes, contamination from water runoff containing toxic products used in rescuing, and other such environmental discharges from burned materials. While the reduction of carbon emission is a key agenda of various economies, the reduction in fire accidents has become compulsory. In order to reduce fire accidents, precautions such as fire protection systems in buildings, warehouses, and manufacturing plants are a must. As the demand for fire protection system is increasing, the sales of fire sprinkler systems are likely to increase.

Further, the report states that issues related to design of fire sprinkler systems will be a challenge for the market. An automatic fire sprinkler system faces certain technical issues with its design. The use of high volume low speed (HVLS) fans in sprinkler systems in commercial buildings has been under debate for some time now. The HVLS fans were designed to provide energy savings in large commercial and industrial buildings. However, installing HVLS fans obstruct the functioning of sprinkler systems. Generally, fire sprinkler systems produce larger water droplets. HVLS fans produce a downstream of air and limits the discharge radius and momentum of discharged water.

The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key vendors.
