New Report Released: – Technical and Vocational Education Market in UK 2016-2020

The author of the report recognizes the following companies as the key players in the technical and vocational education market in UK: CfPA, City & Guilds, learndirect, and Pearson TQ.

Other Prominent Vendors in the market are: Acorn Learning and Development, ACT Training, Babcock International, Interserve Learning & Employment, First4 Skills, GP Strategies, Pitman Training, Tavcom Training, and The TTE Technical Training.

Commenting on the report, an analyst from the research team said: “Emergence of events that promote vocational skills will be a key trend for market growth. More than 1,200 vocational students from around the world headed to South America to participate in the event WorldSkills, Sao Paulo, 2015. WorldSkills International organizes the event and promotes the benefits of and need for skilled professionals through skill competitions, community projects, and knowledge exchange. The competition is organized every two years and aims to showcase the importance of skills education and training by challenging young professionals around the world to excel in the skill of their choice.”

According to the report, introduction of legislations to promote apprenticeships will be a key driver for market growth. Apprenticeship is a form of paid worker training and consists of both on-the-job training and classroom-based instruction. Companies that have incorporated apprenticeships have noted improvement not only in workers’ earnings but also in their net incomes

Further, the report states that one of the major challenges for the market will be high cost of apprenticeships incurred by companies. While the government funds will be able to cover the costs of training, certification, and assessment, companies will have to cover various other costs themselves. For instance, overheads, wages of apprentices, and supervision costs will not be covered by the government. In addition, employers will have to pay extra funds if their cost of the training is greater than the funding cap for a particular apprenticeship or if they provide any additional training.

The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key vendors.
