About Hot Swap Controller

A hot swap controller has three main parts: metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFET) that acts as a power-control switch, a sense resistor to measure current, and a current-sense amplifier to monitor voltage drop. Based on the system requirements, end-users can choose hot swap controllers with varying specifications of MOSFET and current-sense amplifiers.
