Soy milk is a plant-based dairy milk alternative, which is produced by soaking soybeans and grinding them in water. Soy milk is believed to have originated in China. Soy milk was first introduced in the US by Vitasoy in 1969. The taste of soy milk differs significantly from that of cow's milk. Soy milk is an excellent source of calcium, magnesium, vitamin A, vitamin B, and vitamin D.
