Di-isononyl Phthalate phthalate (DINP) is a phthalate plasticizer employed in plastic and rubber industry. Plasticizer when combined with other polymers increases the stretching and flexibility properties of polymers. Hence used in manufacturing resilient Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVCs) plastics, resins and co-polymers.

Plasticizers are mainly classified into phthalates and non-phthalates, phthalates are further sub-classified into low molecular weight phthalates & high molecular weight phthalates. DINP is a high molecular weight phthalate plasticizer. DINP is used in various PVC products such as vinyl floors, wall coverings, coated fabrics, wire insulation, garden hoses, stationery materials, automobile under coatings, gloves, tubing, artificial leather, footwear, cable insulation and soft toys. DINP is also used in Non-PVC products like rubbers, inks, pigments, lacquers, adhesives, sealants and paints.

Wire, cable and electrical industries use about 25% of total plasticized PVC. Soft PVC treated with DINP is used in automotive industry mainly for underbody coatings, sealants and making parts of vehicles. As flooring for many shoe soles due to its flexibility, durability and anti-slip properties. One of the non-PVC applications of DINP are sealing, which are frequently useful to windows and doors for better insulation.

This report provides information on Di-isononyl Phthalate market size for the year 2014-2016, and forecast of the same for year 2021. It also focuses on market drivers, challenges, restraints, market dynamics, growth indicators, competitive landscape, potential growth opportunities and other key aspects with respect to Di-isononyl Phthalate market.

In the past few years the plasticizers market has grown considerably and is expected to grow in the coming years due to the growing demand in the Asia-Pacific region, rising PVC demand globally, and new developments in phthalates. The increasing demand of electronics, electrical wirings, automobiles and textiles are the additional drivers for this market.
The Asia-Pacific is being the biggest consumer of plasticizers followed by Europe and North America. Due to budding PVC industry and high growth potential of the Indian & Chinese market the Asia-Pacific is further expected to show high growth in plasticizer market in near future. The European and North American markets are comparatively mature and remain stagnant in the future.
