Febrile neutropenia is the development of fever with sign of infection and is one of the most severe complications during cancer chemotherapy. It is mainly caused by infectious agents such as gram positive and gram negative bacteria. This results in significant reduction of white blood cell count in the patients. Blood test is used to determine the number of white blood cells and to diagnose febrile neutropenia disease.
